How It Works

This forum is so simple, you'll be chatting in no time!

The first thing you must do is register. This is so that you will be able to interact with the system properly. Please note that no private information will be shared with anyone.

To register, follow these steps:

Step 1: Click on "Register" at the top of the forum page, or any of the "Register" links within any page in the site.

Step 2: You will find yourself at a page where you will be asked to read the forum agreement and fill out a simple form. Until recently, the registration process was automated but it is now being done manually. Although this makes for a slower registration process, this is to decrease the amount of spam on the site. Your understanding is appreciated.

Step 3: Fill in every field of the form; they are all mandatory. Check the box to agree to the User Agreement.

Step 4: Click on the "Send Registration " button at the end of the form.

I will then review your registration and send you a username and password. Once you log in for the first time, I suggest you go to your profile area and change your password to something else. Please keep the username and password stored somewhere safe in case you need it again. If you lose your login information, please contact me (the administrator).

Login In

Now that you've registered an account, it's time to sign in.

Step 1: In the menu at top, you will see items titled "Home, "Help", "Login", "Register", etc. Click on "Login".

Step 2: On this new page, you will see several options:

  • Username - Enter in the name you registered with.

  • Password - Type in your password.

  • Logged in For - Choose how long you would like to stay logged in for.

  • Forgot Password - If you can't remember your password, click this button to have it resent. (Full directions below.)

Step 3: Once you have everything filled out, click the button in the form titled "Login".

Congratulations! You are now ready to participate in this community! Note: if you do not see the "Login" button in the menu, you may already be logged in.

Loggin Out

When you are done posting, it is a good idea to log out of your account so others using your computer will not have access to your information. To do this, find the menu item titled "Logout". Once you click this button, the system will log you out of the forum. You must log in again if you wish to post or access member-only functions.

Forgot You Password?

If you have forgotten your password, we can resend it to the email account you registered your account with. Just follow these steps:

Step 1 In the menu above, you will see items titled "Home", "Login", "Register", etc. Click on "Login".

Step 2 On this new page, you will see a button titled "Forgot Password". Click this button.

Step 3 A new page will load with a single box. Enter your username or the email address you registered with.

Step 4 Click the button titled "Send".

AOL Users, Please Read This

People using the web browser that AOL Internet Service provides may notice trouble viewing the forum. As a matter of fact, this browser may show the forum as a blank screen.

The problem is not with the forum, or even with the AOL internet service itself, but with the proprietary browser that AOL gives their subscribers. However, there is a simple workaround for this problem: just use another browser.

You can log into the internet the same way you normally do. Then, while logged in, open up, either (for Windows), Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape...anything except the AOL web browser. For Mac, just use Safari or any other web browser except the AOL browser. That should fix the problem.

As of yet, it isn't known why this is happening, but it is a problem with everyone using the AOL browser. If you have any further problems or questions, just contact the administrator.

Need More Help?

The instructions on this page should be enough to get you started. Within the forum, you will find a "help" button at the top of the page that will answer any question you may have. If you are still having proplems, please contact the administrator. Also, throughout the forum system, you will see references to "Administrator," or "YaBB Administrator." These are links that lead you to getting in touch with someone who can help.
